Muletrain - Ghandruk - Trekking in Nepal

At 6,500ft Ghandruk was the highest village we stayed in. The village is a major recruitment centre for the famous Gurkha soldiers and is the hub of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, which promotes many varied ecological projects. The massive peaks of Annapurna South (7,219m) and its neighbour Hiunchuli (6,441m) tower over the valley. The sunrise views from here must be some of the most spectacular in Nepal.
A wander round it will reveal shops, tea houses, local people transporting goods form one village to the next, small farm houses and their families, donkeys, mules, chickens and plenty more.

Each Muletrain has 4 or so men keeping 40 or so mules in order.
